I have been around SEO for a while now, and I cant say exactly when I first heard the name “Matt Cutts” but it was probably around the time one of my early sites got kicked out of Google’s index (without doing anything evil, honestly!).
Very much like some guy who founded Microsoft and had a real bad reputation every time some computer did not start up, or some office file went missing, Mr. Cutts has been the target of almost everyone I know in SEO for slapping, banning and de-indexing sites, and the trend was (or is) to pretty much blame and accuse this guy for almost anything that happens in search.
Matt Cutts Blog
Some time ago I discovered Matt had a blog, and started visiting it, turns out the guy likes spicy food, hates airlines costumer support and like all sorts of gadgets, all of this make him more than overqualified to be one of my closest friends! maybe he aint such a bad guy after all.
Lets get serious for a second… check out Matt Cutts blog, first because he is an expert in what he does and goes through the trouble of making videos and writing content with information and tips that would help just about anyone interested in search and secondly because its a nice and fun blog to real, well done Matt, you earned your link here (yeah, like you really need it)(maybe you can link back?)
